For seven days we were in Cape May, NJ for a much needed vacation - our first family vaca since the birth of our Finnegan. It was a great trip on so many levels, but one of my favorite things was running with him every morning...ok, ok, six out of those seven mornings (I needed a break one morning...it was vacation afterall). There's a paved "boardwalk" along the Atlantic and we'd hit that and get in about 6 miles with a little doubletracking and some excursions on some sidewalks. He's a great running partner, pointing out important things like, "ice cream," "seagulls," and "the ocean." He'd also remind me to go "faster Daddy" if I slowed down to much for his liking. Big thinks to Honey Stinger for fueling these runs with waffles (mmmm, vanilla) and loved my Rudy Project Spinhawk sunglasses...they look cool as hell and really cut down on the beach glare (they're supposed to be their casual line, but they work great for performance as well). Also, big big thanks to my wife for letting us go out every morning on our family vacation. Oooh, and one last thing, if anyone is interested, here's the route we took...plenty to see without it being overwhelming like other boardwalks around there...I would suggest going early as it seems to get more crowded as the day goes on.
